Application Submission Successful

Thank you for your interest in pursuing Specialty Board certification through the American Board of Professional Psychology! The Central Office Staff, Executive Officer, and Specialty Board will review your application, which includes ABPP’s generic and specialty specific requirements. This message confirms that we have received your data (and payment, if applicable). If your submission included a payment, then you will receive a receipt by email within the next minute. If you do not see it, please check your bulk, junk, or spam folder in case your email provider wrongly routed it there.

Unless you are (1) a current ABPP specialist who is applying for certification in an additional specialty or (2) a current ABCN specialist applying for the pediatric subspecialty, please have your transcripts sent to the ABPP Central Office as soon as possible.

Please allow about 6-8 weeks from the date of your submission before you hear from ABPP Central Office.  As soon as our office receives the final results, you will receive an email informing you of the decision that will explain the next step of the certification process.

Once you have passed the first step, you will become a candidate and move forward onto step 2. An email with directions will notify you to register for the next step. Note: If moving to the Practice Sample step, the files will need to be uploaded onto our HIPAA compliant site.
