David R. Cox, PhD, ABPP – Executive Officer (EO)
As Executive Officer, Dr. Cox leads our team with a commitment to excellence. He is responsible for recommending and formulating new policies and making decisions within the framework established by the Board of Trustees. Dr. Cox is also instrumental in planning, organizing, and directing the activities authorized by the Board, ensuring that objectives are met and that member needs are always a priority. His leadership ensures that the organization maintains forward-thinking programming, efficient performance, and constructive growth.
Nancy McDonald – Associate Executive Officer (AEO)
Nancy brings a wealth of managerial experience to the team. In her role as Associate Executive Officer, she works directly under the Executive Officer, overseeing the ABPP Central Office’s administrative, information, and support services. Nancy’s responsibilities include accounting, the maintenance of certification, and providing continuous support to the Central Office (CO), the Executive Committee (EC), and Specialty Boards (SB). Her leadership and organizational skills are vital in ensuring that the day-to-day operations run smoothly.
Lanette Melville – Event Planner & Marketing Manager
Lanette specializes in coordinating our meetings, marketing efforts, and continuing education initiatives. She is responsible for soliciting sponsorship for meetings, creating brochures, and producing marketing materials in collaboration with graphic design and printers. Lanette also engages with Specialty Boards and Academies to elevate the presence and impact of ABPP at local and national events, both in person and online. Her efforts contribute greatly to the annual attestation process, ensuring that we remain aligned with ABPP standards.
Diane Butcher – Information Content Manager
Diane plays a pivotal role in managing the information and technology that powers our web-based services. With a strong background in education and communication, Diane works closely with specialty boards, committees, and other ABPP groups to ensure that our content is consistent, accurate, and up to date. Her expertise in web content management and training makes her a trusted resource for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Kathy Holland – Application Specialist & Member Services Manager
Kathy brings a deep understanding of application materials, statuses, and general inquiries. She plays a critical role in assisting applicants by guiding them through the process and keeping them informed as they work toward board certification. Kathy’s attention to detail and customer-focused approach ensures that applicants receive the support they need to move forward successfully in their certification journey.
