ABPP Ethics Committee Nomination Form

Submission Deadline: September 15, 2023

There will be an opening on the ABPP Committee on Ethics beginning January 1, 2024. The Committee is comprised of 6 members appointed by the ABPP Board of Trustees (BOT). Members fill staggered appointments of four years and may serve one additional four-year term. The term of service shall commence on January 1, 2024 and extend to December 31, 2027.

The role of the Ethics Committee is one of education and consultation, which may include but is not limited to developing and presenting continuing education programs, authoring articles for On Board with Professional Psychology (formerly The Specialist), and serving ABPP constituents by responding to inquiries related to ethical standards, principles, and guidelines governing the practice of psychology. ABPP constituents include ABPP Board-Certified Specialists, the ABPP Board of Trustees and Executive Officer, ABPP Specialty Boards and Academies and Leadership Members of Boards and Academies, and the Council of Presidents of Psychology Specialty Academies.

The Ethics Committee meets virtually at least once per quarter and additionally, as needed, for special projects and consultation.
