Exam Coordinators
Awardees: Adam Lewin, PhD, ABPP & Omar Gudino, PhD, ABPP
As exam coordinators, Dr. Lewin & Dr. Gudino, scheduled multiple exams at our March 2020 board meeting, rescheduled those cancelled exams as remote exams, wrote remote exam guidelines for chairs, & provided technical support to those chairs. The ABCCAP Board is ever so grateful for their hard work & dedication.
Clinical Health Psychology
Awardee: Anne Dobmeyer, PhD, ABPP
Dr. Dobmeyer served as President of the American Board of Clinical Health Psychology and as a trustee of the American Board of Professional Psychology. She has also served as a practice sample reviewer and oral examiner for ABCHP. She has been a critical leader for the board and the profession of clinical health psychology.
Clinical Neuropsychology Board and Academy
Awardee: Linas Bielauskas, PhD, ABPP
Dr. Linas Bieliauskas worked as a Founding Member of the ABCN Governing Board (1982-1991); ABCN Bylaws Chair (1987-1988); ABCN Examination Co-Chair (1982-1987) and Chair (1987-1990); ABCN Treasurer (1987-1991); and Committee on Subspecialization in Neuropsychology (2007-2013). He has served as the AACN/ABCN Executive Director for more than 25 years (1995-present).
Couple & Family Psychology
Awardee: Marianne Celano, PhD, ABPP
Dr. Celano has embraced her membership on and presidency of the Couple and Family Psychology Board with purpose and intention, moving the structure of the Board, the competencies of the applicants, and the education of Couple and Family psychology members into a more coordinated specialty. Promoting diversity and ethical practice, Dr. Celano has been an effective leader.
Forensic Psychology Board and Academy
Awardee: Daniel Krauss, PhD, ABPP
Dr. Krauss demonstrated remarkable agility and stellar leadership in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. He took the lead in organizing virtual oral examinations, created new protocols, wrote new documents, and arranged to examine every person from April who wanted to be scheduled for a virtual exam. In a position that was already demanding, Dan has volunteered an incredible amount of time to keep the process of board certification in forensic psychology moving forward seamlessly.
Geropsychology
Awardee: Peter Lichtenberg, PhD, ABPP
Dr. Licthenberg’s contributions to the American Board of Geropsychology are numerous and are invaluable in maintaining the growth and high standards of the board. As the practice sample coordinator, he consistently facilitates reviews of the highest caliber in a timely manner, enabling a smooth process for both candidates and examiners, in keeping with the values upon which the board was founded.
Group Psychology
Awardee: Samual R. James, EdD, ABPP
Dr. James completed an extended term as ABGP President, during which he personally reviewed, revised, and eventually worked with an editor to update and standardize the ABGP manual. He has worked to establish a standard for how a mentor should function, and has worked tirelessly toward improving ABGP and the ABGP board.
Organizational & Business Consulting Psychology
Awardee: Steve Marshall, PhD, ABPP
Steve has retired from the board after 20 years’ service as a mentor, examiner and treasurer. We truly will miss his intelligence, candor, wit and genuine professionalism. He has added much to our effectiveness with his skills, personality and dedication. Thank you, Steve.
Police & Public Safety Psychology
Awardee: David Corey, PhD, ABPP
Dr. Corey was the primary author of the renewal petition for the recognition of police & public safety psychology as a specialty in professional psychology to CRSPPP and APA in 2019, and co-authored the article Practical Guidance on the Use of the MMPI Instruments in Remote Psychological Testing as a response to the needs of psychologists during the 2020 pandemic. He continues to lead the way for the ABPPSP’s success, and his service to the profession is an example for all Specialists to follow.
