Distinguished Service and Contributions to the American Board of Professional Psychology Award Recipient 2023

The “Distinguished Service and Contributions to the American Board of Professional Psychology” recognizes a Certified Specialist who has made significant contributions to the development and operation of the American Board of Professional Psychology by way of publications about or advocacy for board certification, involvement in ABPP administration or policy development, or other service to ABPP and its affiliated boards. The focus of this award is specifically focused on the individual’s contributions to ABPP and do not require recognition of a broad impact upon the profession as a whole.

ABPP is pleased to announce the 2023 award recipient:
David Corey, PhD, ABPP.

Dr. David Corey is a board certified specialist in both forensic psychology and police and public safety psychology with the American Board of Professional Psychology. He is a Division 18 Fellow of the American Psychological Association, founding president of the American Board of Police & Public Safety Psychology, chair of the Specialty Council for Police & Public Safety Psychology, and Treasurer of the American Board of Professional Psychology. Dr. Corey is engaged in research, practice, training, and public policy advocacy involving occupationally mandated psychological evaluations. He is licensed to practice in 8 U.S. states and the Republic of Ireland.
