As I begin my tenure as Associate Editor for OBPP, I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to step into the role of my predecessor, Dr. Jessica Luzier, who graciously left behind a wealth of insights and practical guidance to ensure a smooth transition. I began working on the December issue in August 2025, collaborating closely with our Editor, Dr. Alexander Khaddouma, and our brilliant Communications Committee. Together, we have aimed to deliver articles that embody the spirit of OBPP—fostering mutual learning across our diverse specializations and strengthening our collective capacity to serve the communities that depend on us.
My passion for reading and writing long preceded my interest in psychology. Over time, a growing curiosity about human behavior and the frameworks used to understand and study it drew me to the field. My clinical journey has taken me through varied settings in India, Canada, and now the United States, working with both adult and child populations. Each experience has deepened my understanding and enriched my clinical practice and research collaborations.
In 2020, when the world came to a standstill due to COVID-19, I chose to dedicate that period to professional growth by pursuing board certification—a yearlong process that proved to be one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. It was through this journey that I joined a community of dedicated psychologists committed to excellence and lifelong learning. Within this community, I felt inspired to contribute further and responded to the call for an Associate Editor position at OBPP. I am deeply honored to serve in this capacity and look forward to continuing the publication’s tradition of excellence in showcasing emerging trends, innovations, and the creativity of our colleagues across specialties.
Finally, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Dr. Khaddouma for his mentorship over the past few months. It has been a privilege to work alongside such a dedicated and talented editor.
