The Board of Trustees (BOT) consist of one Trustee from each Member Specialty (may be from Specialty Board, Academy, or merged Board and Academy); one Trustee Early Career Psychologist elected by the Trustees to represent the interest of early career psychologist; one public (non-psychologist) Trustee; the current President of the Council of Presidents of Psychology Specialty Academies (CPPSA), and the President, President-elect, immediate Past-President, Secretary, and Treasurer of the Board of Trustees. The term of office for members of the Board of Trustees (except officer members) shall be four years, except that.

John Piacentini, PhD, ABPP, as the President, shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation, and consistent with the rules and procedures of the Board of Trustees, shall have broad authority to: oversee the operation of the Corporation, promote the purposes and goals of the Corporation, establish the agenda for meetings of the Board of Trustees, be the chair of the Executive Committee, be responsible for reviews of the operations of the Executive Officer and Central Office, represent the Corporation to other organizations and the public, coordinate the work of the officers of the Corporation, make appointments to committees, and have such other powers and duties as may be assigned by the Board of Trustees.

David R. Cox, PhD, ABPP, serves as Executive Officer, recommends and participates in the formulation of new policies and makes decisions under existing policies as they have been approved by the Board of Trustees. Plans, organizes, directs and coordinates the staff, programs and activities authorized by the Board to assure that objectives are attained, plans fulfilled, and member needs are met. Maintains effective internal and external relationships. Through management and leadership, achieves economical, productive performance, forward looking programming and constructive growth of the organization.
