Panelists:
Leonardo J. Caraballo, PsyD, ABPP is a board-certified clinical psychologist and President-Elect of the Board of Trustees of the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). He is also the immediate Past-President and a Senior Examiner for the American Board of Clinical Psychology (ABCP). Additionally, he is a member of APA’s Finance Committee, President of the Clinical Psychology Specialty Council, and Treasurer for the Council of Specialties in Professional Psychology. He has previously served as the Secretary and Early Career Psychologist Trustee of ABPP and is a past President of the Arizona Psychological Association.
Noelle Lefforge, PhD, ABPP, MHA is a Professor in the PsyD Program at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology (GSPP), where she serves as Associate Dean of Applied Research and Sponsored Programs and Clinical Services Director. Her work spans teaching, training, supervision, clinical service, research, mentorship, advocacy, and interprofessional education and practice. Dr. Lefforge’s areas of expertise include group psychotherapy, community mental health prevention and intervention, suicidality, and diversity in professional psychology. She is board certified in Group Psychology and Group Psychotherapy through the American Board of Professional Psychology. A recognized leader in the field, Dr. Lefforge has held numerous leadership roles and fellowships within professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association and the American Board of Professional Psychology, and has chaired a state behavioral health commission. Her scholarly contributions include publications on responding to microaggressions, the specialized practice of group psychotherapy, and the development of education and training guidelines for group psychotherapy. Most recently, she co-edited a book on the supervision of group psychotherapy. Dr. Lefforge serves as Associate Editor of the International Journal of Group Psychotherapy and has been recognized with several distinguished honors, including the Nevada Psychological Association Outstanding Advocacy Award and the UNLV Honors College Alumna of the Year Award.
Adriana S. Miu, PhD, ABPP is a board-certified clinical psychologist and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine. She specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy for veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder. She is a part of psychedelic assisted therapy research team. She earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Emory University in 2016 and board certification in Clinical Psychology in 2021. Previously, she was on faculty at Stanford, UT Southwestern Medical Center, and a psychologist at the Atlanta VA. Outside of Emory, she has tremendously enjoyed professional service and leadership opportunities in professional psychology organizations. She serves on the Board of Trustees for American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) as the Early Career Psychologist Trustee, APA Task Force for Serious Mental Illness/ Severe Emotional Disturbance, and APA Healthcare Financing Advisory Group. Derek C. Phillips, PsyD, MSCP, ABRxP is a licensed clinical and prescribing psychologist in Illinois and board-certified in psychopharmacological psychology. He is the director of psychiatry at Arcus Behavioral Health & Wellness in Chicago, IL, and executive director of the postdoctoral MS in clinical psychopharmacology program in the Marion Turpan College of Psychology & Counseling at Fairleigh Dickinson University. He earned his PsyD in clinical psychology/clinical neuropsychology from Adler University in 2015, a postdoctoral master’s degree in clinical psychopharmacology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2020, and board certification in psychopharmacological psychology in 2025. Outside of clinical work and higher education administration, he serves as president-elect of APA Division 42 (Psychologists in Independent Practice), chair of the APA RxP Designation Committee, founding president of the American Board of Psychopharmacological Psychology, secretary of the American Psychological Foundation, vice chair of the Illinois Clinical Psychologists Licensing & Disciplinary Board, member of the APA Coding Advisory Group, and member of the Illinois Association of Prescribing Psychologists Board of Directors.
